COVER STORY PHOTO ESSAY

In late 2024, I was commissioned by the Swiss architecture magazine MODULØR to create a photo story about Bergen's remarkable street art scene.

Norway’s second-largest city showcases artwork outdoors, indoors, on private and public buildings - creations of all sizes and subjects that have become an integral part of the destination and attracted international attention. Over the course of three days, I had the pleasure of tracking down breathtaking street art on grand facades and behind dead-end gates, while highlighting in each image the distinctive Scandinavian quality that Bergen has beautifully cultivated within its urban landscape.

The result is a vivid visual narrative documenting how local street art blends into Bergen’s lifestyle - sometimes boldly, other times discreetly, always seamlessly.
